Citizen-based contributions to mainstream scientific investigations are increasingly important. Projects are now more accessible to the public with new technology providing effective communications between science practitioners and citizen scientists. The latest data collection and management tools improve the flow and quality of data. Anyone can take part in Citizen Science projects!
One of Australia’s longest-running citizen science projects, the BirdLife Atlas and Birdata allows us to track changes in bird populations across Australia. Our Citizen Science Seminar will highlight other exciting projects that Birdlife members can participate in.
