Nice shots, al. I was surprised at the number of birds of prey that I saw there. We took one of those bus trips to Fraser Isl. and all the way north of Noosa (via the beach) was wall-to-wall BoP; WBSE, Osprey, Brahminy Kites and Whistling Kites. At one stage we saw two Br Kites, an Whistling Kite and a WBSE fighting over a dead fish on the beach. A great birding moment.

Thanks for the kind comments, al. All the BoP shots that I've posted were taken on the Noosa North Shore. We took the ferry over (2 minute trip) from The Noosa side and drove along the beach. We also drove along the same route when northbound to Fraser Is. with a tour company. On both occasions we saw many WBSE, Whistling Kites, Osprey and Brahminey Kites. In the bush adjacent to the beach we found many bushbirds such as Red-backed Fairy-wrens, Bee-eaters, Grey Shrike-thrush, Variegated Fairy-wren, Scarlet HE, Striated Pardalotes and also the usual waders and terns along the beach. A surprisingly good birding location. I hope this helps.
