Hi Kathie, there was no happy ending to the flirting though, at least not in the nest I saw them build. There was a Fantailed Cuckoo around the nest, and the clever girl left. They must have had young though, because today I heard a few singing in the trees.
Although the males are so colourful and loud, sometimes they are hard to find, because they tend to be high up in the trees.
I got a photo of a male a couple of weeks ago in our garden - very colourful indeed.
