red beak red eye

I just cannot work out what this bird is.
I thought it might be a red or little wattlebird but it has a red beak.
I'm confused. Can anyone help please.

oh, and btw, the location was ash island on the hunter river, newcastle.

And, I could not id this raptor.
Can anyone help id this one please.

Hi stevehapp,

your first bird is a juvenile OB-Oriole and the raptor is most likely a Swamp Harrier because of its upheld wings and the habitat. I have been to Ash Island before and they seem to be quite common there.

I had a good look at pics on the web for the ob oriole and it seems like you guys are right.
