Bird of the Week Challenge: 10th Novemember - flocks!

Morning everyone, the photos from last week were just extraordinary! Thank you to all who took part. So many beautiful baby birds!

I realised that my challenges are inspired by what else is happening in BIBY that week. This week I am heading to the IUCN World Parks Congress - there will be 4000 delegates from all over the world decending on Sydney Olympic Park. Its going to be great! (and I am going to be talking about our Birds in Schools project).

My theme this week is therefore flocks! Share photos of flocks of birds (can be the same species or mixed). Lets call a flock anything with 5 or more birds in it...

As always wait a turn before posting again.

Black-Winged Stilts. Quite a challenge to achieve the widest depth of field possible so most of the birds remain in focus.

No RawShorty I don't. Never even seen one in the wild.

Nice one annas. Is that out west somewhere?

We just don't seem to get the raptors in those numbers on the coast.
