Wow! Amazing results with Rawshorty and Rick's processing.  I'm sure that it needs skill and time to master such powerful programs, but the potential looks extraordinary.  I'll have to investigate the possibility of getting something with a bit more options than the basic contrast/sharpening etc that I have in iPhoto.

 Interestingly, on the ground the magpies in the pictures below are completely on a par, and honours are even.  A few feet off the ground, and the galahs dominate. I guess it relates to where their natural feeding territories are.
