Great work. I always find them quite tricky as they like to stay in the darker areas, making it hard to get crisp shots, but you've managed well

Cheers, what i generally do is listen for their calls deep in the scrub along tracks or open areas. I then look for any perches, dead trees etc "basically more exposed perches or branches that are closest to the heavy deep cover they are in". Then its just a matter of pulling the trigger if they check you out or they decide to come out but you must be able to pull the shots off very quickly, most the time i get a second or two b4 they move so important to keep a pre-focus at roughly the distance you expect to shoot at. They are very quick and u will find u just hit focus and the bird is off the viewfinder before u press the trigger but u just gotta persist and also learn there movements as they will usually just move a metre or so off the last spot but they only usually do this a few times before they get back in the scrub again. Their curiosity for those short moments is their weakness of getting their face on forums and flickr .
