Spent last weekend with Peter C whose business trip to Adelaide happily coincided with a couple of days of good weather, just right for birding.
Couple of feeding Parrots here, Male and Female Red-rumped and a hungry little Elegant all near Salt Creek,Coorong,SA
Many more birds were sighted and photographed but I'm sure Peter will contribute some more here at some stage.
I did feel a little put out on the first afternoon when he started complaining that we were too close to the Elegants that were filling his frame and could we move back a little. :-) :-) :-)

A good host would have had the birds appear at the right distance from his guests camera. :-) ( Mmmn, why do I feel that I am going to be reminded about that comment one day).

Yes, a great weekend in The Coorong for the Queensland visitor
Rick has done a lot of work on the accommodation at his block near Meningie and has plans for more work. I have to comment on the high vaulted ceilings and the views from the ablutions. I should also comment very positively on the lamb roasts at the Meningie Hotel.
We birded from Meningie to Robe and my iPhone6 tells me that we walked about 15 km and climbed about 23 flights each day. I clearly need to get out birding more.
2 species ticks for me - Mallefowl and Beautiful Firetail
1 subspecies mark for me - Elegant Parrot (review not yet complete but I missed the rather elusive Grey (Clinking) Currawong)
very pleased with our Malleefowl and Hooded Plover sightings and we will keep those locations quiet
Peter
Wow Pacman, some really awesome finds there. Rick must have been pleased to have such a good guide :P
