Bird of the Week Challenge: 18th July - in the wrong place

Its Monday again! Another week down...

Great photos last week, lots of birds not looking their finest but captured in some fantastic photographs.

This week I thought we would get photos of birds where you might not expect them. Maybe it is a bird out of range, in a habitat you don't normally see them in or just somewhere you would not expect to see a bird!

Maybe not quite what Holly meant, but Wedge Tail Eagle not supposed to be wrapped in a blanket and held. This one had a broken wing, I captured it and transported it the the Raptor Refuge (http://www.raptorrefuge.com.au/) for care, rehab, and hopefully subsequent release. Still in care at this time, as it take a long time for rehab. Someone else's phone photo, so quality is average. Posted with permission.

Don't Southern Cassowary usually live in or on the margins of rain forest? Only ever seen 1 in the wild, Etty Bay far North Queensland.

A slightly better photo.

The first ever breeding record of Pink-eared Duck in Canberra was a nice surprise for us.
