I am just looking for a recent post where someone mentioned hearing the spring return of a cuckoo and i don't recall what kind, in the early morning. Can anyone remember where that was and direct me? Thanks

Thanks for that, funnily enough I think i am thinking of a more recent one, I am just interested becuase i want to know of the bird to see if it is what i am hearing in the morning in Sydney.

There are lots of fantail cuckoo call recordings on the web, even here on biby birdfinder. I have been hearing them for a few weeks but haven't seen any yet.
Thanks, that is the one! I am now not sure if it is the fan-tailed cuckoo or not. I will have to listen to it again tomorrow.
