Willie Wagtail

A pari of these birds are always to be found in the same spot on the road or footpath.  I saw them aggressively chase away a Noisy Miner which is an unusual sight.

Lovely photo Ann of such feisty fearless bird

Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well

Nice shot - they will take on bigger birds such as ravens and kookaburras too. Maybe they have a nest around there that they are protecting.

Lovely shot Ann...any bird that chases a noisy miner away is a freind of mine.

Cheers,

Ron.

Adore Willie wagtails! They are such officious little folk and remind of busy little clerks flittering around making sure everything is exact... I can easily imagine them carrying little clipboards and checking off lists.

Thanks for sharing.

I love these little birds. So brave! We have a pair nesting off our verandah and hoping this year young ones are ok.

Thanks, yes I agree, busy and bossy!

There must be a nest around somewhere but they don't seem to hang out very close to it, maybe they claim a large area as their territory.
