Walk in Karawatha Forest

Karawatha Forest is a massive, pristine park near Logan in Brisbane with a large number of walking tracks and around 100 species of birds. I took the Rocks track of around 2.5 km and found around six species of birds in one area, about 20 metres long. Got a couple of firsts - Leaden Flycatcher and Brush Cuckoo - plus a couple of others. Great place for a walk. Hard to believe it's so close to Brisbane.

Nice alcatraz. I love it when you find great spots so close to you.

Great shots.  I love to find places like that in or near the city,(in Sydney), like entering another world.

Thanks all. I must admit this is a place I would just go to walk. Might as well be somewhere hundreds of kms from the nearest town. The birdies are a bonus.
