Two whistling kites (I think) were in an airel battle with another raptor. Wondering if anyone can identify the 3rd bird. It's wings were much pointier than the WK's and I can only see flight feathers in one very blurred pic and there appears to be four. Mystery bird is in the center. Karuah, Port Stephens, NSW.
Here's a solo pic of the one I would like identified. None of them came out very well as they were way up high.
Looks like a Whistling Kite also

Thanks HB. Could well be, I thought it looked a little smaller, slmmer built and with different wings than the other two but I'm hopeless at ID'ing raptors. I'm attempting to get better but in flight, other than the obvious like WBSE's they all look the same to me. It would be easier if they cooperated and came in lower lol.
agree with whistling kite too - the white capital M shape made by the white stripes under the wings and the body is good indicator for WK. (one of the few raptors i am confident on id-ing).
I find that ponds, lagoons, marshy swampy areas are good for sightings of raptors at lower heights.
