hello again - am trying to sort out pics into folders and was filing these as grey currawong but couldn't help noticing the differences - i realise that there are colour variations but the 'hood' and throat feathers?(sorry about cropped tail btw) could you kindly clarify for me?
My research tells me that the subspecies of Grey Currawong in your location (south eastern SA, if I remember rightly) is melanoptera. I'd say the differences in feather arrangements you've noticed are because of the various stances of the birds.
