Hi everyone,
I stumbled across this large feather at Ourimbah, NSW. It's almost the same length as the A4 sheet of paper (23-24cm). Does anyone know who this feather belonged to?

A galah. Some of the feathers on the ends of the wings are much darker.

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I don't think this feather belongs to a galah. I had a look at some images and definitely see the darker feathers on the outermost part of their wings but this feather would almost be the same length of the whole galah, tail and all haha
Hm....water foul of some sort? There quite large, may be a Herron, they have dark gray wing tips.

Maybe, they do have big wings, and the feather looks low fly bird like. (Very round at the bottom, wide at the top).
