Gang Gangs galore

At Ourimbah, this morning, there were over 20 Gang Gang Cockatoos feeding on the nuts from Liquid Amber trees on a relative's property. Present were numerous red headed males, some females which lack the red head and have brown eyes plus a number of younger ones. Great to see and hear them. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Your killing me Sue, I love all of these photos, particularly flight shot, again one I want to see one day. Thanks for keeping us going, its quiet around here lately.

Thanks Dale, I am trying to post in other forums if I can. I was given a heads up by a relative after his sister told him that I photographed birds. However, I had not expected so many! Travelled about an hour north of Sydney to see them but my daughter also lives there so worked well. Few birds around home as winter sets in and there is not much flowering. Definitely feeling refreshed by my birding this month!

Stay safe. The flight shot was lucky and just for you Dale.

The Gang-gang is of my favourites, especially the female. I haven't seen them at my place since March and that was the first time I'd seen them here in nearly 3 years. I'm really hoping it wasn't a one off, and they come back soon.

Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing!

Also note left-footed eating.... I'm yet to see a photo of one eating with the food in their right foot. Maybe the right foot is dominant so easier to hang on with that one??
