Brown Thornbill (Acanthiza pusilla) with brunch

At Dru Point, Margate - south of Hobart, when I managed to capture this little beautiful, with what is a decent meal, not sure how it managed to swallow, it flew away before that happened.

Anyway, here is a series of photos, it was "bashing" the caterpillar on the branch. Sorry if there are too many shots (not really sorry)!

Thanks all. I certainly is great to see nature at it's best. Not often I get to see a "full" bird, yet alone fast a little brown bird in the open. Normally have the pesky branch of leaves in the way

Thanks so much Dale.  Had hoped to be more active and supportive back here way before now, but been having a bit of a disagreement with Leukaemia for 6+ months, so lifes been a bit topsy turvy & challenging.  Seem to be heading in the right direction for now though, so all good :-)  So awesome to see your photography on here these days ;-) holding that Tassie Bird flag high especially.  Keep posting!

Nasty that you've been battling leukemia, Annie. Great that the battle is turning in your favour. Keep it on the run!

Glad to hear your going ok Annie and guessing you have a fighting spirit. I wish you and yours all the best, and look forward to some of your work when you are ready. We all have our battles to fight from different fronts, and I think staying positive and having things to look forward to help keep a positive frame of  mind, at least that's how how I work.
My thoughts are with you - stay safe
