Raptor comparison

Possibly not the best photos as quite high up but thought the underwing patterns and sizes made for a nice comaprison.

Seen near the weir at Lake Cargelligo, the large Immature White-bellied Sea-eagle with:

Whistling Kite above

Spotted Harrier above and then below

Nice ones, Sue. Shots like these are a great help in discriminating between raptor species.

Thanks guys. I thought it interesting to see the underwing patterns & the long wings of the Harrier compared to the Kite. Quite thrilling at the time as the Sea-eagle took off from a tree right beside me & then the others appeared. Such a wonderful feeling being out there.
