A walk in the sunshine

Today was a glorious day up here on the Sunshine Coast and I was treated to an exceptional array of tiny birds nice and close to the roadside in the Forest area that I walk through.
Didn't manage too many good shots but was very happy to be surrounded by Grey Fantails playing chasey through the trees, and their friend the Eastern yellow Robin playing hide and seek around the tree trunks!!! Right in my face were tiny wrens and just as I was zoomed out to full length the grey fantails darted right in front of my lens catching insects. I was sadly no match for the rufous fantails either and only managed some blurry images of them as they flitted around . The sound of all these birds plus the Lewins and the Golden Whistler was truly magical. It was just like a live greeting card saying "Happy Easter"
Enough rambling ...here are some shots :')

And finally the young White faced Heron that I pass most days.

This is such a typical and also my favourite pose of these birds...and today the Grey Fantail was following suit!!

big congrats on getting such good focus on the birds when there are all those little branches in the way.I find it very very hard - and the birds are always moving too. You have a great collection - some we get here and some we don't. THe golden whistler is a stunner

Thanks Birdgirl.... the only way I can get the birds in focus is to manually focus ...and then it is a bit hit and miss with my eyes !

Finally...I have been able to find a link to here that works.... I ma so over my computer troubles at the moment :'(
Thanks Tassie and Owen...same variety as always...if that makes sense! I never tire of seeing the small birds even if they are the hardest to photograph.
Today is raining...again so there won;t be much to see.

Hi Birdie,

Are you referring to finding a link to BiBY? I think the website was unavailable to everyone for a while; it wasn't a problem with your computer.

Is birding next week still a possibility?

Andy.

Hi Andy,
Yes I gather there were server troubles here but I am having troubles elsewhere too. I am taking my laptop to a guy this afternoon to have a look at as I can't stand it any longer LOL I use it too much to put up with the half hearted way it wants to work at the moment.... and it is in grave danger of being tossed out the window just at the moment. I have a CD drive that is there one minute and gone the next and the whole thing is getting slower to boot and load pages etc. Cant see any viruses but who knows!?

yes I am looking forward to Wednesday and at the moment except for the weather there doesn't seem to be any obstacles :')
If it is raining we should just think of somewhere to go where it doesn't matter how wet it is!

Cheers

Adrienne
