bird egg

hi everyone, I am new here - found this site when looking to ID remains of bird'e egg found in middle of my lawn.
It's about 30mm long & 20mm across, aqua in colour with no speckles or other markings.
Any ideas???
thanks

Could be the mongrel Indian myna. If it is, it's a good thing to find on the ground broken.

Hi Ray,
thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately we do now have Indian Mynahs in our area and I have to agree - if it is one of theirs then better broken than hatching. Unless I find out otherwise, that's what it is.

Oops, sorry about the double up!!
Any ideas on where to find ID's on eggs or is it ok to just put in this forum???

Tassie

Gidday Deva, I would say either Indian Mynah or Starling.
Mynah eggs are darker than starlings.

probably Mynah then, haven't seen starlings for ages.
