thornbill?

Hi guys, is this some sort of Thornbill?or maybe a wren of some sort? I can't seem to identify through my book. It's one of about 7 or 8 birds that visit a purple flower just outside my window, they are very busy birds, and seem to be getting nectar from the flowers. Very difficult to get a shot, this taken through the window, as they are very small, and quick and don't seem to come out from the foliage for very long. Also quite noisy like wrens/thornbills. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi Heva
Brown Thornbills have streaked throats just like yours, and a dark eye, which makes the eye more prominent than the Striated Thornbill, which has a grey eye. Brown Thornbills are quite noisy sometimes. Several different calls, and at least one of them is a loud call, which carries some distance. That is apart from their little grumbling noises.
This image is a perfect match for your bird.

Hi Denis, yes a brown thornbill did cross my mind... but I could not see any rufous on head or wings (I could in the one that Birdie posted a few days ago). The noise they make is a repetitive high pitched 'cheep'... descriptive aren't I? (NOT!!)
By the way.... I looked at your website from your link you gave me the other day re. grey shrike thrush and found it very interesting... thanks. I could also click on the link to the BiBy pic of grey shrike thrush, but no matter what I did I couldn't get to go to link for a forum thread, I think you said a similar thread was posted by Al? how do you go about picking up a thread from a previous forum?
Sorry for all the questions!
