Oriole ?

Is this an Olive-backed Oriole?
Location: Richardsons crossing, hat head np. coastal heath country.

Hi Steve.
Looks right to me.
Fine pink beak helps distinguish from Fig Birds.
Call is very diagnostic - soft, but penetrating (carries a long way) gargling call.

Your photos seems to have very low light angles - early morning?

Thanks Dennis.
I thought the pink beak looked good as well.
I couldnt hear the call. he was a fair way away and just warming up i think.
and yes, early morning light.
.
I had a figbird in a similar photo and he had the red around the eye. so i could suss that one out.
