Anyone ID this bird?

Hi, I'm new to this and just had to find out what type of bird this little guy is?

Hope the photos have worked. The second one is a little blurry, but you can see the back of it.

Thanks

Is it smaller than a kookaburra? Looks like a kingfisher, possibly sacred or collared.

Almost certainly a juv (young) Sacred kingfisher.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back. Thanks to you both. I thought it might be a kingfisher, but thought they lived around water. He seems to like the mandarin tree in the backyard.

Thanks again sewal and ed.

Not all Kingfishers live near water. Sacreds live in forested areas, though I have seen them fish from the Nepean River twice all up. Azure, Little and Collared Kingfishers are near or on the water though. Kookaburras are pretty much anywhere, even in local parks as you probably know. :) Don't let the name Kingfisher confuse you into thinking fisher = water. :)

Juvenile Sacreds can be distinguished by the scalloped edges of the wing feathers like in your picture on top.
