Stamp Collecting

Are there any stamp collectors/philatelists on the forum other than myself?

Cheers

That explains the interesting avatar shot! Welcome David and although I am not a philatelist I have always found it to be fascinating ever since I was a young girl and given a stamp album!

Hi Birdie. I suppose I should use an Australian bird stamp, but this is one of my favourites, it's so striking

My late father compiled a vast collection of NSW stamps. I am not sure what to do with them :-)

Owlbaby, it's a never-ending hobby, with no rules, which I think is why I love it!

Soakes, if your late father's collection is not going to get passed on to an interested member of the family, it will, like most other collections, end up being sold to a dealer at a fraction of value. It's a very sad state of affairs, that upsets family and collectors alike. I know of many collections that ended up as land fill as family didn't know what to do with them. If you are ever considering disposal, I know all the right people to help you.
