Hi nature lovers

Just reading some of the ID forum and realised how much of a challenge it still is for me to ID birds. Maybe I'm not as good as I thought I was! it was great to see everyone trying to help each other. My name is Darin and I live on the mid north coast of NSW .

The ID forum is a great way to improve IDing skills, I've found. I keep a field guide or two at my elbow & plow through the stuff people post. It's amazing what I think I've learned! Post away!!

Hi, Gabi here.

New to the forum.  Today I saw a pair of grey goshawks over my house.  They swooped upon an indian mynah as it was sitting on a TV antennae, they were in mid flight and nearly got it!!  Great to see, shame they missed as any less indian mynahs is a good thing.h

Hi Gabi,

Welcome to the forum. Any bird of prey sighting is an exciting one in my books.

Pity they missed the myna...

Cheers

Love your approach to mynas, Gabi. Encourage those grey goshawks!
