A quick walk around the yard this morning and found these two, a Superb Lyre Bird and and a Brown Cuckoo-dove. It was very dark and the pics turned out a bit grainy sorry.

I love the Lyrebird shot, I'm dreaming of getting a photo one day(?). If only I could get into the neighbour's place , they have a creek and lots of ferns. How lucky are you? Great catch of this fast running bird, and a male too.

Thanks, When I drive the kids to school I see 4 or 5 of them scratching on the side of the road but they are very fast indeed. I have tried many times to get clear shot. This one was scratching in the leaf litter near the letter box. I saw him just in the bush and waited half an hour for him to come out. I hear them singing regularly. The brown cuckoo-dove was above him deeper in the bush feeding on native berries, first time I have seen one tho.

Great birds to have in your yard, matt. I have to drive into the Dandenong Rges (east of Melbourne) to see the Lyrebirds. Would love to have them strolling through the yard. Thanks for sharing.

Two birds I have yet to see. You are so lucky to have them in your yard, thanks.
I am also pleased you braved the weather to get these pics. Well done.
