Welcome, Denven. One of the forums on this group is Bird Rescue so you'll be able to contribute there & see postings from time to time which will interest you. As well, there's nearly always a conservation topic or two on the go.

hey nathan and woko. thanks. and dont worry i'll be staying around for a long time to come. i've been looking for a place like this for a while now. i'll have a looksy in the rescue link see what i can find. i've been reading alot laterly about the white tailed black cockatoos, oh how beautiful they are! im lucky nearly every day coming home from work i can see a few pairs hovering by. but today i saw at least 15- 17 passing by was amazing.

Treasure those sightings, Denven. That's a fast-disappearing species you're viewing. Both the Carnaby's & Baudin's Cockatoos are threatened by human destruction of their habitat.

Hi Denven and welcome. Lovely to meet you. Would love to see photos of those cockatoos if you get the opportunity.  We don't get them were I am here in Vic.

I also found this group via Google when trying to ID some birds and have been here ever since.

If you're into saving those cockatoos from extinction I'm confident there are groups in WA you could connect with. The WA Department of Environment & Conservation would be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi Denven,

Welcome to the site - we're a pretty friendly bunch here.

I look forward to seeing your photos or hearing stories about WA cockatoos.
