Great photos - we have fruit bats quite often visit at night for the bananas next to the house.

Thankfully they don't roost here, noisy enough as it is if they are squabbling over the fruit. :)

What amazes me is how very, very quiet they are as they fly and glide overhead. (Compared to birds of the same size)

Unless you happen to look up in the evening sky (just on dark normally) you would never know how many there are around.

Thanks Chris, they were roosting in these tree's but they were fighting over sleeping spots. So funny to watch.Yes they are very quiet when flying.

They fight with the possums in the trees in the main street in Darwin.
