A Superb couple

Was over at mums today going over moving in there (she's moving on to larger property) and the Superb fairy-wrens were going crazy back and forwards from the shrubs on our side to a tree next door. I thought I would see what they were up to then quickly ran for the camera when I realised what was up.

Oooooo, the second photo is just BEAUTIFUL. How I envy youblush Did the boy help, or was he just watching? Do you have a dog? If yes, leave a bit of dog hair on the rock they are sitting on, they use that at my place to line the nest with.

That is so gorgeous. I have never seen a girl carrying that many twigs, at my place they weave dry grasses together. I see if I can find a photo for you?

Try not to disturb them while they are building the nest, if they get worried they sometimes stop and go somewhere else.

They will be in a hurry to finish the nest, those eggs can't waitwink Good luck to themyes

No, he just followed her around while singing and left her to do all the work. I'm not sure how far along they are in the nest building because the tree is quite dense and I don't want to disturb them. M-L my dogs don't shed but my grandads is loosing her winter coat so I might go pay him a visit and grab a handfull lol

I had to read this twice, I thought your grandad's loosing his winter coatblush. They also pich up hair when we brush the horses.

I know the Wren boys don't help, they just sit on the fence and watch. Maybe they don't do a good enough job, so the girls want to do it themselveswink
