Thought I'd share this. Very rare, I'm sure. Falcon nesting in tree...
The best photo of a Falcon I have seen Did it fly up there? Do you think it is breeding? When can we expect little Falcons?

Hehehe.......I hope its not breeding. Poor thing, its rear end looks damaged.
Karen Brisbane southside.
I think that it will breed this year and again in 2014 but will stop breeding locally in 2015.
It will breed overseas from then onwards and when they migrate to Australia they may have another name.

Could have a hefty price on their heads if that happens. They'll be seen as unwanted non domestic breeds.
I have my eyes peeled, Peter.
I should have included that other species seem to be holden' on to their breeding rights in australia, mainly in SA.
The falcons seem to be leaving Vic just like a lot of humans
The introduced species have already learned to climb trees to prey on the Falcon

And may I introduce the close relative of the Falcon?
Hmmmm........I've seen one or two of those, but was not aware of their predatory nature. Thank you for letting me know.
Thanks for this everyone, I needed a good laugh this week

Lachlan, fortunately, this behaviour is only cyclical.
These photos crack me up, am wondering how that falcon got there, am checking out most of the photos in this site and all I can say is WOW, WHAT GREAT PHOTOGRAPHERS YOU ALL SEEM TO BE. Absolutely beautiful photos of birds,
