The butterflies are out

This afternoon there were hundreds of these around my garden. I have never seen that many in my life.

Australian Painted Lady. Native daisies are its favoured caterpillar food.

Two small grass yellows at my place (s.e. slopes of Mt Lofty Ranges, SA) yesterday. Favoured caterpillar food are Senna species.

By coincidence I've seen an Australian Painted Lady on three occasions today. It must be the Year of the Australian Painted Lady.

How good Woko, I saw a few different ones today, but didn't have the time to take photos.
