That one is maybe a bit too hard - I can't find the bird myself since I re-sized it for the forum!!

Here's another one - same bird, same tree, Just zoomed in a bit. Only a small portion showing.

I can see the bird! It is in the top half of the picture, sligtly to the right of the center line. As to it's ID, I think that it is a Female House sparrow. I could be completely wrong, I just wanted to get the ball rollingsmiley

Quite right Elsie, or should I say exactly right! Phew! I was thinking I would have to make it even easier. Can you see it in #54 now?

Over to you now.

I'm all out of suitable photos, and since it's raining now I don't feel like going out to take one, so I'm going to pass it on to someone else. How about you NathanY, since you got pipped at the post on the Dusky Moorhen?

Alas Woko, I still haven't got a photo to come back with, so will someone please pick up the ball as I have dropped it! I love this challenge, but it seems that I'm better at solving it that finding photos for it. Perhaps I waste too much time on the computer!!

Good, point, there's 1/4 of the bush!

Specifically, not the branch directly above the male wren, but at the base of the next one over which also goes off the top of the screen.

Seriously? cool Lol!  O.k., this is the best I can do, another family donated pic from the archives....To the best of my knowledge, there are three whole and one two thirds of a bird in this shot.

Edited:  Sorry, just found another.  So to make it easier, there are four birds on the ground, (disregard the partial one in flight in the upper right).

West Coast Tasmania

rawshorty

One middle far left, just left of the post, in the grass just in front of the post and 2/3 flying off top right.

Sorry to jump in Desbee, I will be seriously impressed if anyone ID's this bird.

Annie W

Shorty, spot on...there is still a fourth on the ground though.  Des, spot on for three and bingo with the species.  There is one left.....or do I just give it over to someone else in the spirit of the game?  I mean it's pretty close enough.

I have found the 4th one I think. Marked in red. Just below the fence line, just to the right of the post. I have described it as there is a problem uploading the photo.

Hmm, yes Grasswren would make more sense than a SF on the ground wouldn't it, good one.  Shorty, the fourth one (centre, furthest right) that Des marked, was either a lump of dirt or dog doo doo, not the fourth ground bird laughlaugh  But it doesn't matter, close enough I say!!  Let's go with Headsies now. yes
