OK guys - here is this week's challenge! Another suggestion I received
First person posts a photo with at least 2 birds in it (ideally different species).
Next person has to post a photo with one of those birds in it plus at least another species (or all the same if you get stuck).
Third person has to again, post a photo with the same species and a different one and so forth...
If you have a photo that just has that one species in it - then post it, but it has to have at least 2 birds in it.
Guidelines:
No limits on how many photos people can post but you have to allow 3 other people to go before you post again. So if you post photo 1, you can post again at photo 4.
If we get stuck and there are 4 posts in a row that only have the same species in it (no other bird species feature because no one has a photo of that species with another bird), then we can start again with a unique photo (with 2 or more species in it). Make sense?
e.g.
Photo 1: Australian wood duck and purple swamphen
Photo 2: Purple Swamphen and Eurasian Coot
Photo 3: Eurasian coots only
Photo 4: Eurasian coot and Grey teal...
I will kick it off with a Whistling kite and a Willie wagtail.
Cool idea - kind of like photo dominoes
Cheers

That is the perfect name for it - going to edit the title
So the next shot has to have the whistling Kite in it or either the WK or the WWagtail? Sorry just a bit slow today !

Whistling Kite with two Blue Faced Honey Eaters harrassing it ..... this should cover it either way

It could be either the WK or WW
Heres mine, A Blue-faced honeyeater and a Grey-crowned babbler
It's not a great photo so sorry
Oh dear, my photo seems to be slowing things down Does anyone have a photo that would be better and get things moving? Please feel free to replace my shot with a better one
I don't think so Elsie, it might be that not many people have photos of either bird? I don't have one of a Grey-crowned babbler
It's a great combination
M-L
Holly, is it Ok for people to use the same bird mulitple times? So if I used the blue-faced honeyeater from the shot by Birdie, then could someone use it from mine? I'm just wondering if there is some way to get things moving again. I'm so sorry for slowing it all down
Yes absolutely! So from your shot people could either
1. post photo of just GCB's
2. post a photo of just BFH or
3. post a photo with either a GCB or BFH with some other bird
Its certainly challenging and if we can't get things moving say by lunchtime tomorrow - then we can open it up to another random 2 birds
I am a bit confused ... I have a shot with a blue faced honeyeater and another bird....can I use that? or does it have to be Just a BFH only ??? I have definitely never taken a shot of a GCB ... and Elsie , I agree there is nothing wrong w ith your photo .... just that we don't have many of that species by the looks of it... maybe Holly can clarify again just for me.

Wow Shorty that is a rarity to catch them both in synch like that!!! From a distance one could be forgiven for thinking that they were two of a kind !
Sunshine Coast Queensland
......and more than 2.... it doesn't matter to me. But if I would have posted this, you would have come down on me like a ton of bricks.
There obviously is a difference who posts what, and who says what? Never mind, I get it.
M-L
I think you're being paranoid, M-L. You're entitled to feel picked on if you like, but I don't think it's warranted.
As far as I can see the rules don't suggest that there needs to be only two birds, or that it needs to always be a species that has not been posted.

For this week's challenge the guidelines stated at least 2 birds (species) in the photo. We didn't specify that the birds couldn't be the same as previously used.
Locking this thread now and will get a new Monday challenge up shortly.
