Think it is but would like confirmation.

It certainly looks like it to me. Where did you spot this?

I reckon the Pilotbird and the Bristlebird look very similar in my book.

I think the location will be the key.

Sorry, Beef. Not sure why i did not put location in.

It was in a rainforest type area at Tidbinbilla A.C.T.

I think that and the tail will elliminate the Bristlebird.

That's a great photo of a beautiful bird Shorty. Is it true that the pilotbird got its name through its practice of shadowing the lyrebird? Do the pilotbird and lyrebird have a symbiotic relationship? Does this mean that if you find one you will find the other?

Night Parrot, I don't know if it is true but there were a few Lyrebirds around. It was great just sitting and listening to the males trying to impress the girls with their repertoire.

wow, great pics and congrats, next weekend is a Parkes weekend but a drive to Canberra might be on the cards, did you get the GPS co-ordinates?
