Emerge from the chilly winter months, spruce up your feathers and head out into that glorious spring sun to take part in our Birds in Backyards Spring Survey. Once you have registered your free Birdata account, read the instructions or watch the video. Download the Birdata app and take your smartphone or tablet outside with you and just record all the birds you seen in your space in 20 mins.
Spring Survey Prize Challenge - Highest number of surveys, wins!
Without your valuable contrubution, we won't learn about the state of our backyard birds as quickly or efficently! The more surveys that you submit, the more data we are able to collect and the higher the impact we can both make together - we can't do this without you! Whether you submit a survey daily, weekly, fornightly or randomly, the more times you submit the more likely you will win a Birds in Backyards prize pack. At the end of our Spring survey, the urban birder with the highest number of surveys will win! It's that simple!
Prize packs each survey include a set of delightfully backyard-themed BirdLife Australia bird pins, a Birds in Backyard fridge magnet, and a BirdLife Australia bird ID booklet.
