Another Cuckoo Fledgling ID

Stalked the source of an incessant pipping noise, and found this cutie up high.  We only have four Cuckoos to choose from here (North Tas), Pallid, Fan-tailed, Horsfield's Bronze & Shining Bronze.

He was twice the height of an average adult Fairy-wren at least, so I guess the two Bronze-Cuckoos are out?   My first thought with the non-stop begging (how their squawk-box doesn't break, I'll never know laugh), and barring on the tail, made me think Fan-tailed perhaps?

Interestingly, he was being fed by a pair of Thornbills, then shortly after, a small family of Fairy-wrens took over the feeding for quite a while.  I have read that Pallid fledglings are so good at begging, that parents (other than their hosts) will quite often temporarily leave their own young to give the cuckoo chick a quick bite to eat - I guess this could apply to any Cuckoo young perhaps.  Was very interesting to watch anyway.

Would love some help confirming ID please!

Looking at the Brown on the wings, and a lack of yellow eye ring, my thinking is Fan-Tailed, but as always, happy to be proven wrong. The Pallid should have more wing markings.

This is a tricky one... if it was a Fan-tailed, the bright eye-ring should still be evident in a juvenile bird. Do you mind if I send a copy to some expert people that I happen to know?

Thanks Dale!  Has had me stumped smiley.

Not at all Brandon, that would be brilliant if you could, thanks!  Here are two more shots, out of focus blush but they may help further with ID & size comparison etc.

... And the results are in! It has apparently been decided that it is a Fan-tailed Cuckoo. YAY!!!
