Visiting a friend the other day and on his front lawn was a juvenile leucistic magpie, following it's mother around and noisily hassling her for food. This is the second white Magpie that I have recently observed in Port Macquarie. I wonder the odds of this mutation occuring and if there might be some kind of genetic predisposition within the population of the area. Can any experts shed some light on this for me? I will go back and try for some better photos soon.
Snail I live in the area and have seen three white ones in different spots around PM
