Any good holiday places in SA

Hello, My family are going away on a trip to South Australia and Adelaide, does anyone know any places we should check out for the whole family to enjoy, and for me what types of birds to expect and where maybe some good woodlands etc. where there will be a wide array of some interesting birds? I have also recently decided that I might get more into the technical sides of things with birds rather then just photographing them, anyone know a good place to get started with the study of birds?

Hi Ameteur, I wasn't interested in birds when I was there but you can't go wrong with a trip to the Adelaide Hills. Do you know where your staying, If your NE of Adelaide try heading along the Main North East Rd towards Birdwood, it follows a creek bed and there should be penty of birds, at birdwood is a Museum of old Cars and other stuuff that will entertain the family while you look at the birds on the way. The Coorong is a bit further SE at the Mouth of the Murray, Plenty of birds to see and a good day for the family.

Cheers
John
