Aussie Backyard Bird Count

I think it's fantastic that this project has generated interest in birds with the general public, but under 'sightings' there are many (albeit often easily explained) misidentifications (granted along with some seemingly legitimate lists),

such as the likes of sightings of Yellow Wattlebird, Forty-spotted Pardalote, Collared Imperial-Pigeon, Chestnut-quilled Rock-Pigeon, Eclectus Parrot and Black-faced Sheathbill in Melbourne CBD... smiley

Indeed, exciting times for the birding community, eremaea birdlines will be flooded with reports of ultra rarities... wink

Hey guys - sorry a bit late to this!

Yes there are lots of misidenitifcations in there but we are going to be vetting the data to clear as many of these out as possible. Stay tuned for the results wink
