I've been watching Black Shouldered Kites hunt by the Logan River near Beenleigh, SEQ, and saw a hawk like silhouette guide quickly toward the sun. Thinking it was a BSK, I took a shot at it.
I think it might be an Australian Hobby instead. Please help. Thanks.

I will "third" that opinion and add that it's a male, identifiable by the more angular wings and long straight tail.
