A freind of mine has had one in her garden for 8 days now ( Canberra ), this is only the second sighting of one in the A.C.T. ( first one 25 years ago ) and the first for Canberra. Lucky her gets to sit on her lounge and watch the goings on and it enjoys a shower when she puts the sprinkler on.
I took this shot through the window as i did not want to scare the bird as others were coming around for a look.

Wow! That is amazing to be able to watch a very rare bird. You're so lucky to photograph it!
