I've been down with glandular fever, so I haven't popped in for a while.
Here's a couple of recent visitors
A female Grey Shrike-thrush and a very demanding juvenile
A pair of Red-Browed Finches. Incredibly, these are the first finches I've ever knowingly seen outside an aviary!
Lovely birds Sherro. Sorry to hear you have been sick with that.... it can be a bit%# of a thing can't it?

Thanks Birdie, it's been over eight weeks now, and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!
Slowly on the mend, though, and the birds help!
hope you get well soon sherro. two great visitors there with the finches and the shrike thrushes. in our area these two birds tend to stick to the bush.
Cheers, Owen.
Thanks Owen. I am a bit spoilt though, here's my backyard. Just bush
great property sherro. would love to own something like that one day.
Cheers, Owen.
So would I!! I live in the Blue Mountains and I have no back yard, that's just the bush in the valley
That is like me Sherro, we rent on the edge of a drainage reserve ( which is really a pretty creek full of tree ferns and trees and catbirds LOL) and around us there are trees galore that border on to an area of rainforest.... I never get tired of it, love to go to the beach to see it but always love to come home to my trees :)

sorry sherro, i meant i would love to live near an area of bush like that.
Cheers, Owen.
Nice birds Sherro. But what a view you have, wow! Sorry to hear that you have had that rotten GF, it certainly is a knocker.
Hi sherro, fantastic view! Living where I live, first thing I noticed is the small column of smoke! Do you have roof-sprinklers?? ( if that was taken i summer, I'd call the brigade)
M-L
Ha ha Marie-Louise... time to get your glasses checked isn't it? :')
I think that column of smoke also goes in front on the railing !!!
Sherro, all I can say re the GF is you have a beautiful place to recuperate in. Depending on what age you are watch out for the dreaded chronic fatigue syndrome that can come after that the docs say doesn't exist too!!! Seems to be worse in middle aged men and young teens from what I have seen.
Get well soon .
Cheers

Message: You are right, I need new glasses! (And I'm a non-smoker.LOL) sherro, I do hope you will feel better soon !!!
M-L
No-one's eyes are perfect, I'm a non-smoker, and that5 streak you can see is dirt on the window! We'd just moved in and not cleaned them when the pic was taken.
Thankls for all your best wishes, I'm sure I'll get better. Eventually.....
Ha, Ha, that solves the bushfire problem, and your health problems from smoking, seeing you don't smoke. Unfortunately does nothing to improve my eyesight?! My daughter had GF many years ago, took her some time to be back to "normal" Hope you recover quicker. Birdie, both of us lost again.LOL
M-L
Ha ha I knew it was dirt on the window.....was just too polite to say that LOL
The only reason mine are clean is because many of my garden sightings are done through them so I made a special point of making them spotless for camera use!

Birdie, there is a word for this: opportunist !
