I wanted to see how much shooting through glass reduces the quality of an image, so I can take photos from inside the house if special birds visit the feeder or shrubs and I don't want to scare them away by opening the door. The images aren't too bad. The lens was not up against the glass - it was about 1 metre away.

Good results.
Just remember you cannot boost the light with a flash (if that were needed) without taking the shot at an angle - too much reflection.
But those shots were fine.

good images birdgirl ,important thing would be to make sure that the glass is clean..
good shot, you always clean your glass birdgirl hehehe....a circular polarizer filter can help too when shooting thru glass :)
Hi very good shots
I didn't notice the bent beak before
Nothing wrong with these Birdgirl. I often do the same but I try to hold the camera close to the window (without touching it). This helps to eliminate any reflections.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I had to stand back because I had the teleconversion lens on. I took them at an angle.
ps the glass wasn't too bad - it had had its yearly clean recently!
Very nice shots Birdgirl, nothing wrong with those.
