Hi guys, the new Freeway South to Bunbury opened up last month and as i was driving to Bunbury to try it out i came across this wedgetail eagle being harrassed by crows, still a long way away so photo's are on full zoom and not the best but i was still happy to have captured a wedgetail eagle {my first}.
When i downloaded them on the computer i was surprised to see that the Eagle had something in its claws, further work on the computer revealed it to be a young crow chick so that was the reason the crows were attacking the Eagle..
Have a look at the size of the Eagle compared to the crow, which is also a big bird... Cheers Raoul

Hey Raoul, well done. WHere have you been ? Haven't seen you on here for ages. I didn't even know the Freeway was being extended to Bunbury. That's cool, it must save time on the trip.
How is the Canning River lately?

HI Raoul

Gidday Raoul ,Where have you been ol mate? Great to see you back here. Top action shots mate, must have been interesting watching that unfold.
Thank you Smeedingo2,hi Tassie, mate gave the photo's a break as i have been neglecting my main hobby of metal detecting been a long while since i did it last.Yeah it was good seeing the crows attack the Eagle pity they were so far away.
Cheers Raoul
Hi Raoul, that's an amazing shot, bit gory with the baby crow but I guess that's nature.
Hey Raoul, did you have a bird photo included on an advert for a Desert Park poster?I saw your name in the credits and thought 'that's an unusual name where have I heard that before?'.....
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best
Hi heva1,thanks for the comment.About the desert park poster? could be as a few people have emailed me and asked if they could use one of my photo's. Can you remember what species of bird it was?
Cheers Raoul
Hi Raoul, a female Superb Fairy Wren. Mine was a Spiny Cheeked Honeyeater that coincidentally I took in Desert Park (that the poster was advertising for).

Hev this is the only female blue wren that i shot i have about 10 shots of it in different poses. Where is Desert park??
Could be that shot...hard to say as the backgrounds have been removed to go on the poster. Perhaps Raoul isn't such an unusual name as I thought?!
Desert Park is in Alice Springs about ten minutes drive outside centre. Great place to visit if you are out that way.
