Western Treatment Plant

Today I went to the WTP, Vic and found 2 lifers, Baillon's Crake and Pink-eared Duck. The pond I found the crakes in also had Australian Spotted Crake and Buff-banded Rail and they were all tame. I also saw 2 Black Falcons but no shots.

We meant to go to the Western Treatment plant on Friday/Saturday but the weather was so dreary we didn't go there. I guess we were a bit tired too, lots of travelling and a really horrible does of hay-fever. Will have to wait until we are down this way again, probably next autumn. Love the crake , never seen one of those. Thanks for showing them.
