Gotta hand it to you on this one ed ... it's amazing that you happened to be in the right place at the right time with the right setting selected in your camera - what kind of bird is it that works like that?

Tark..I always change my settings (I rarely use auto) as I walk...into a shady area, change ..back into sun.. change again, does not alway work as Murphys law says that whatever can go wrong.. will...in this case ..out in the sun and the bird will be under the only bush around (deep shade). The real trick is to know your gear and be able to change settings on the fly...
