Very nice, mate and nice to meet a fellow Taswegian here! This morning at the Peter Russell Nature Reserve, (Blackmans Bay area) was the first time I've ever seen this bird. If you don't mind me asking, where did you catch this one?
This one was taken at Spring Beach 5 mins south of Orford. I have a few more from around Lauderdale where they are plentiful in summer when the flowering gums are out.
Thanks lefti, don't get to Orford too often but I have a few nice nice Pied Oyster Catchers at Lauderdale. I'll remember the flowering gums, there are lots in Hobart so I'll watch for them (if summer ever comes!)
Hi Lefti
I can confirm that one.
.
Cheers
