Bird of the Week: 13th August - LBB's

OK gang - running a bit late again but dealing with a few of the website issues at the moment.

 

We have done this theme before but I think it is a good one. Lets see photos of those LBB's - little brown buggers!

Not sure if I have posted this one before taken down at Denmark West Australia of a Inland Thornbill And also a Brown Honeyeater in my backyardWestern Gerygone ( I love the sound of these little birds) and sorry M-L i had to do a little tweaking to this to lighten it as the orginal was too dark !!!!!!!!!!!cheeky

A Weebill collecting nesting material smiley Lovely photos everyone! I love the one of the brown honeyeater shoop! Who else here thinks that the name of the brown honeyeater is a bit drab?cheeky I've never really understood why it's called that (other than it being brown and a honeyeaterwink) I've always thought that it should be called something more elaboratelaugh

Unsure if this is a Brown or Painted-Button Quail taken at Denmark West. Australia. ( sorry not a very good photo )Black-fronted Dotterel , is little and has some brown on it and the buggers never keep still for long.Red-eared firetail Finch. Denmark West Australia.

Well, definitely not a Brown... the only other quails out your way are Little and Painted BQ and it's not a Little BQ either so it has to be a Painted BQ.

Oooh, loving those little Brown Honeyeaters, and Weebills, and Roufous Treecreeper, and Roufous Fantail, and Little Friarbird and Logrunner, and and and....all the others I don't get to see crying gorrrgeous!
