Bird of the Week: 24th June - Winter Warmers

Hi everyone - please ignore this old post from 2013, a minor glitch from updating our login systems today :)  Cheers, Monica

Hi everyone,

Winter is definitely here and everyone in the Sydney office agrees that it is cold! I don't know how the weather is in your part of Australia, but it's wet here! So, the theme as suggested by the team in Sydney is "winter warmers" - birds keeping warm, birds in the rain or getting wet....interpret as you will!

Looking forward to your photos again,

-Monica

Thanks dna, I was busy snapping shots of the ducks on the lake and then i noticed right beside me in the tree the Wattlebird having his morning dive. I had no idea if he was going to dive again or where on the water he would make his entry, so i crossed my fingers and kept my camera focussing on the water and waited. I was pleased with the shots tooyes but they were pot luck !!!!!!cheeky

I have been thinking about this topic for some time, sorry to say nothing really fits the topic. I would think a cup of hot soup would be a "winter warmer" , so all my photos about water or even rain would be beside the point, sorry to say, or am" I" missing the point here?

Back to my thinking paddevil

that kind of thing? A scarf is a "winter warmer"? (my daughter made this one for me, I don't have photoshop)
