Well done Shorty, nice one Headsie. I reackon we can fit in another before morning - famous last words from me maybe if my connection keeps dropping out like it has been, haha.
That would have been me flicking through the field guide, I wasnt sure about the western grasswren.
Thanks, Headsie. Google can be good but it also has a lot of wrong.
I first thought Thick-billed but my search showed only in N.T. , then my next search said the Western was the same bird. Just goes to show that you have to read more than one page search to get an accurate result. My more extensive search showed them to be in a small area in W.A.

Awww, well it was worth a shot! You did do a good job, still a little time to go and prob a few hours in the morning for guesses. See if this one is the stumper hey Des , be a good tricky one to finish on either way anyway
It is indeed a Spotted Turtle Dove timrp! Well done. You must ave been posting while I was giving the negative reply to everybody else. Time for one more?
I think we should leave it for a future return. A lot of people have been saying they have nothing to post so a spell from it would give everyone a chance to take some shots for the future challenge. My 2c
It has been very fun, however maybe if we did move on to another challenge, we could all gather some 'wheres Wally' photos and come back to this one again soon? We should definately do it again
Thats just what I think I don't really mind as long as everyone keeps having fun!
Still very close Rawshorty, almost there.
I can almost hear you flicking the pages of the Field Guide Shorty

A southern Emu-wren, maybe?

Here's an easy one I prepared earlier.

White Bellied Cuckoo Shrike hiding behind the plant (banksia?)?
Sorry Lachlan, wrong bird.
Des
Honeyeater of some sort? That might help someone else guess if I get half right, lol.
West Coast Tasmania
Sorry Annie, not even half right! I deliberately took the photo through my window to mess with the focus, perhaps I did too good a job?

Is it a Spotted Turtle Dove
Sorry to say that nobody has got it yet! It's not a Banksia either. I haven't a clue what the bush is, I just know it's not a Banksia.

OK. How about this one before the new challenge. ID only required!
Des
Maybe Holly can consider extending this thread a further week as it is quite a successful and entertaining challenge?
I agree, so just in case this happens, I had better get my joke out of the way. It is of course the Lesser Spotted Grey Whirly Bird
Des
Ha ha ha Des!
Sorry guys I was at an offsite meeting all morning. Do we want to keep this challenge going for one more week or do you all want a new challenge?
I will leave it up till tomorrow morning and everyone can post on here and let me know...

Yes I agree with Shorty .... it slowed quite a bit because of that and lots of people had to offer it to others , but it was a great challenge Holly

Agree with above, will be fun in the future to take some hard to identify shots.
I agree, I usually would delete those photos but now I know to keep some for the future.
I agree with all the above comments. It has ben fun and challenging, and it would be good to do it again in the future sometime.
Des
OK everyone - lets revisit Where's Wally in a little while.
New challenge on its way...
